Lesson: Course Introduction

As a result of taking this module students will guided through the steps of germination, detailing every stage including curing and harvest, with a few tricks and tips that will have students on their way to growing a healthy and vigorous cannabis plant.  Upon completing this asynchronous introductory cultivation module, students will gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on guidance through the stages of cannabis germination, cultivation, and harvest. They will learn essential techniques and receive valuable tips to successfully nurture healthy and robust cannabis plants.

Lesson: Module 1: Grow Room Basics

As a result of taking this module, students will learn the 5 main areas of a cannabis grow room, how to choose the ideal location, basic electrical installations, choosing reflective surfaces, safety, the importance of water and source and preparation, flooring options, the benefits of a grow tent or greenhouse, the importance of cleanliness, environmental controls, artificial lighting, timers, and controls, cannabis nutrients, and basic cultivation systems,

As a result of taking this module students will review choices regarding the best grow environment for studentsr situation, by taking a look at the Pros and Cons of each type of environment.

 

Bonus Video: As a result of watching this video, students will view an outdoor cannabis grow.  While watching, consider factors such as plant heights, space requirements, the elements, soil conditions, and proper watering.

 

Indoor Grow Gallery: As a result of viewing this photo gallery, students will see photos of greenhouse cultivation.  While examining the photos consider factors like costs, space, ventilation, soil, water, ventilation, and security issues.

Lesson: Growing Mediums

This lesson will introduce students to various growing mediums as well as some of the ways that they will be beneficial to the cannabis plant. The mediums that are reviewed are Potting Soil, Mushroom Compost, Soil/Media Conditions, Rockwool, and Soilless mixes and media.  In choosing the best medium for growing cannabis, it is important to understand these types of media.

Her academic background includes a Master of Science in Plant Biology from Southern Illinois University, with coursework in plant physiology, genetics, molecular biology, and ecosystem ecology. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology from the same institution. In addition to her academic achievements, Lindsey has contributed to research and publications in her field, notably in journals such as Chemosphere and Plants. She has received research grants and awards for her work, further demonstrating her expertise and dedication to plant biology. Lindsey’s practical experience includes serving as a crew leader for an ecological restoration project and working as an owner of a land management and consulting company. She has also served as a teaching assistant and laboratory instructor at Southern Illinois University, where she independently taught various college-level laboratory courses, managed materials, and ensured safety protocols.
