This course will illustrate the basic concept behind the medicinal aspects of CBD. Concepts explored include the history and science of cannabidiol, CBD compared to THC, the medicinal potential and how best to use cannabidiol. Students will learn how to dose CBD, side effects to look out for and how to purchase CBD to obtain a quality product.

  • As a result of taking this module, students will gain an understanding of the following concepts: How CBD compares to THC Phytocannabinoids, Conditions which CBD can help alleviate, Conditions which THC can alleviate, CBD/THC balance.  The learning objective of this module is to provide students with comprehensive knowledge to equip students to make informed decisions regarding the use of CBD and THC in various therapeutic contexts, ensuring they can advocate for and implement cannabinoid-based solutions with a sound understanding of their unique properties and potential benefits.
  • Video Lesson: How & Why Does CBD Work?
  • The purpose of this module is to provide students with an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of CBD and its effects on the human body. The course will teach students how CBD interacts with the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and how it modulates various physiological processes. Additionally, students will study the chemistry of cannabis, including the molecular composition of CBD and how it interacts with ECS receptors. Students will also learn about Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency Syndrome (CEDC), enabling them to recognize its potential implications in certain health conditions.  Our learning objective is to help students understand the intricate workings of CBD, as well as its therapeutic potential and clinical relevance, so they can make informed decisions regarding CBD’s use and application within the cannabis industry.

Dr. Bridget Williams

Dr. Bridget Williams is an established board-certified family physician and the founder and medical director of Green Harvest Health, a medical cannabis clinic located in Pickerington, OH. Green Harvest Health is the only medical cannabis and life coaching office in Ohio. Dr. Williams brings nearly 20 years of experience in family medicine from The Cleveland Clinic and certifications in life and cannabis coaching to her practice. Dr. Bridget provides valuable talks on medical cannabis, CBD, life balance, and confidence. In 2019, Dr Bridget branched out into developing her own line of CBD products as well as white labeling and CBD product development for other businesses. When not seeing patients, Dr. Bridget hosts a CBD education series, and a holistic wellness series and is teaching faculty at the Cleveland School of Cannabis.
