This course will examine all processing and refinement methods of cannabis. The curriculum reviews the concepts of nucleation, winterization, fractional distillation, isolation, hydrodynamic extractions and sonication.

  • As a result, a student who takes this module will gain an understanding of how post-processing can be used to customize cannabis products for diverse consumer preferences. Nucleation. Winterization, Fractional Distillation, Isolation, and Sonication methods are covered in this course. Students will also learn to refine the crude oil produced into products like Crystalline cannabinoids, Absolute, Distillates, Isolates, Water-soluble concentrates, Nano Emulsions, and Hydrodynamic extractions.  The course is designed to provide participants with knowledge of safety and quality control as well as compliance so that they can contribute to the cannabis industry’s post-processing sector with expertise.

As a result of taking this module, students will have the capability to define Cannabis Jar-Tech and review topics that include the 2 methods of jar-tech processing, an explanation of the purging process and the tools that are used for purging, An explanation of winterization of crude prep and the equipment used for this process, By achieving these learning objectives, students in the course will be well-prepared to work with the jar-tech processing method in the cannabis industry, with expertise in safety, quality control, compliance, crude oil winterization, and the preservation of terpene profiles in cannabis extracts.

  • As a result of taking this module, students will receive further reinforcement of Lesson One by viewing the video which shows an 18-day timelapse of two jars (photographed once every 5 minutes) that breaks down to 2hrs of crystallization for every 1 second of video!   Illustrations or videos provide visual clarity, making complex processes like Jar-Tech crystallization more accessible to learners. This aids in understanding the steps and components involved.
